Strings of America (Cuerdas de America) perform passionate, original folk music from South America close to the history of three different countries & instruments:  Argentina (charango), Venezuela (cuatro), Perú (guitarra).

cuatro: A small guitarlike instrument of Latin America, usually having four single nylon strings .Cuatro means four in spanish.

charango: A small South American guitar (Andean folk instrument) made from the shell of an armadillo or similar animal and having five sets of paired strings

The virtuosity and the puna in JAIME TORRES's charango,

musicalized poetry by "el cuatro de Venezuela", HERNAN GAMBOA  and LUCHO GONZALEZ guitar imprint that search the harmony and South American rhythms.

The DVD includes a live show and a documentary movie about their instruments and their musical roots.
